1: Where is the best place to hang my Growth Graph?
The ideal place for many parents is behind their child's bedroom or cupboard door, wherever it fits snugly and is nice and safe.

See? Fits perfectly!
The main thing that you should remember when hanging your chart is that it must not be exposed to excessive light over long periods of time, as the ink will fade.
2: When decorating what materials should I use?
When decorating it is important to remember a few things, so we recommend you read the following guide carefully before beginning to decorate the graph.
Photos
The best way of mounting a photo onto the graph is to have it printed on a thin, glossy, adhesive backed paper, essentially making it into a sticker. This allows you to easily stick the photo's to the paper and be sure that the Growth Graph can still be rolled up without damaging the photos. These days it is very easy to have your photo's printed on custom paper through online services such as moo.com.
Stickers are the easiest way to mount photos
The next best way of mounting a photo is with paper or scrapbook glue. The good thing about glue is that it is easy and fairly temporary. A photo stuck on with a little bit of paper glue will stick fairly well and be easy to remove. Stronger glue, such as photo glue, will hold the photo with much more strength making for a more permanent solution.
When applying glue, use a small amount spread thinly across the entire reverse side of the photo before firmly holding the image against the graph until dry.
Too much glue will cause the paper to become damp and crinkle on the back. This won't be visible, so it wouldn't be too much of a problem if this happened by accident once or twice, but as it slightly warps the paper the cumulative effect of repeatedly doing it may cause problems with the graph.
Marking the Graph
As with photos, when marking the graph we recommend keeping it temporary initially. Plot with a pencil first, and ink in the lines with a pen later on. A pencil line can be removed from the paper with an eraser, but ink is permanent.
You can write on the Growth Graph polyproplyene laminated paper with many things, because it has an outer layer which readily absorbs inks and dries quickly.
Most are not able to be erased afterwards.
The items on the list below have been tried by our laboratories, and have not reacted negatively with the polyproplyene paper or archival quality inks employed in printing of the Growth Graph Height and Weight Charts.
Most Common writing pens
- Pencils
- Colouring pencils
- Water-based marking pens
- Oil-based marking pens (for example Nikko Pens, Sharpie Pens, Artline Pens)
- Highlighter pens
- Water-based poster paints
- Finger paints
- Acrylic or water based house paints.
- Coloured chalk
3: Why have my graphs arrived separately?
While it is possible to fit more than one Growth Graph in a single postal tube, we decided that each graph should be shipped in its own tube so that a graph will have an individual storage container. This results in each graph being shipped separately, so it is theoretically possible that they could arrive separately too, however improbable.
4: Can I record multiple children on one graph?
Of course you can!
There is absolutely no reason why you couldn't keep the details of two children or twenty children on the one Growth Graph. There are definiate upsides to having multiple sets of data over the top of each other in that you can compare their growth, but you may find that there are downsides too, including the fact that your graph can get crowded and the chart loses the ability to tell a story about an individual child.
5: How 'kid-proof' is the poster?
The poster is made from a plastic-paper polypropylene, which basically means that it is very strong. It is almost impossible to rip or tear, so in that sense it is very kid proof. Some children may decide to try to pull a Growth Graph off of the door where it is mounted (which seems to happen most during the terrible two's), so it is advised that the graph is kept away from little hands during those destructive years.
6: How long will it take me to recieve my Growth Graph?
That depends on where you live. We can assure you that you will recieve your Growth Graph within 7 working days of ordering it, but the time will lessen considerably the close you live to Australia! If you are having any problems with your delivered Growth Graph or you have been waiting significantly longer than 7 days feel free to email us and we will help you out as quickly as possible.
7: How much does a Growth Graph cost?
$(au)34.50
8: How can I clean my Growth Graph?
- Eraser
- Slightly damp clean cloth ( with small amount of a mild non-abrasive detergent, if required)
9: What will damage my Growth Graph?
- Extended periods in harsh sun or moisture ( the paper becomes less resistant to tearing)
- Solvents such as petrol
- Abrasive cleaners
- Fire and heat
- Finger-nail polish and finger-nail remover
